On August 4, 2015, the "GB 7258-2012 "Technical Conditions for Safety of Motor Vehicle Operation" Standard Implementation Exchange Meeting" organized by the Institute of Standardization of China Automotive Technology Research Center was successfully held in Beijing. Feng Yi, director of the Institute of Standardization of China Automotive Technology Research Center, and Geng Lei, director of the technical department of the China Motor Vehicle Technical Service Center attended the meeting and delivered speeches. More than 70 representatives of relevant units attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wang Xueping, assistant to the director of the China Automotive Center Standards Institute.

Zhu Tong, director of the Standards and Regulations Division II of the China Automotive Standards Institute, first introduced the background and principles of the revision of the GB 7258-2012 "Technical Conditions for Safety of Motor Vehicle Operation". According to the work arrangement of the GB7258-2012 "Technical Conditions for Safety of Motor Vehicle Operation" standard drafting group, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center conducted a survey on the implementation of the GB 7258-2012 standard for the automotive industry in late June to collect feedback from various companies. This meeting discussed and analyzed the collected corporate feedbacks one by one, and listened to the opinions and suggestions of various companies. In response to the outstanding opinions of the industry during the implementation of GB7258-2012, the sub-technical committee and the standard revision research working group of the Auto Standards Committee will carry out research and research in different fields.

The meeting also listened to the suggestions of major domestic vehicle companies and representatives of foreign-funded enterprises on the revision of the GB 7258-2012 "Technical Conditions for Safety of Motor Vehicle Operation".

The meeting was a complete success and laid a solid foundation for the follow-up standard revision work of GB 7258-2012 "Technical Conditions for Safety of Motor Vehicle Operation".
